I’ve just recently been to Romania, where I found a guy on the flea market selling CDrs and USB sticks full of Manele music. Here’s a rip of two of them:
I’m not very familiar with it, but I think it’s somehow similar to Serbian turbo-folk and you hear Manele a lot in Romania. Fun stuff! It’s got really cheesy lyrics, melodies with Greek or Turkish scales and reggaeton kind of beats.
